Winter Solstice

This year, the winter solstice which is also know as
Dongzhi (冬至) is celebrated on 21st dec...well..some of us may wonder why
dongzhi falls on 21st
dec but not 22
nd in the previous years.....This is why...
Let say for this year (2008)...Since it can be divided exactly by 4,
dongzhi will fall on 21st
decLet say for previous year (2007)...Since it cannot be divided exactly by 4,
dongzhi will then fall on 22
nd dec!
But I don't know
whether this is real or not, it is from a local newspaper..
