As Venice was divided into small islands, they had to built bridges to connect one place to the other. Today, Rialto bridge was used to carry pesdestrians.

True or Not ? ? ?

19 May 2008
Do animals have the sense that earthquake is coming? Nobody knows the answer yet.
Example is the recent earthquake...Before the day where the earthquake happened, many people did witness that the pandas were moving away from the epicenter of the earthquake.
After the evacuation of pandas, the earthquake started to take place...
Before the quake, there were large number of toads found in the epicenter. This was witnessed by many people. Nobody ever know why this toads came here until the day where the quake started.
From the above situation, many people the found out that the animals did have the sense and also showed signs before the quake itself. If this really true, this could reduce the number of death and injuries. It can prove that this is true because Japan quake also showed signs of animals, this animals are moving away from the quake.
Do you think animals have such an acute sense of the disaster out there? For myself, I feel this could be true because many studies can prove it!

Myanmar Cyclone

12 May 2008
Cyclone hit Myanmar badly and leaving behind was the corpses of the dead and the homeless. It was a terrible scene leave behind by the cyclone. One of the example below showed the real life story of a family facing the cyclone when the cyclone approached.
As the cyclone raged around Mr. Ko, he clung to a tree with one arm while clutching his newborn son with his other family members. He managed to hang in there for 10 hours despite the howling winds and pushing rains of Cyclone Nargis which almost took away his life.
At first, the flood washed away his home and later, because of the strong winds, his son died due to shortage of breath.
Cyclone's damage almost took away all the rice farmers' crops which were a source of income for them. About 90% of schools in cyclone hit-areas were damaged. Dead bodies were found everywhere. The conditions there were very terrible.
The only thing to help them are donate items that they needed most, this is the only way out to save them...

3 May 2008
I still have the last 4 subjects to study...Two Math, two sciences...
Since last year, I don't have any confidence in both my sciences until today...I hope to do well in both my sciences maybe at least a B3. If i will able to do well, i will want to work harder to achieve better results, of course, i must achieve a distinction for both maths.
I left the following subjects:
1. Emaths paper 1
2. Chemistry
3. Physics
4. Additional Mathematics :)
